Men's squash earns highest finish since 2007 last season (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's squash team has announced its schedule for the 2012-13 season. The Crimson finished third last season at the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships, the team's best finish since 2007.
Harvard opens the 2012-13 season with the MIT Round-Robin Tournament on Nov. 16. After a two-week break, Harvard will host Dartmouth Nov. 28. On Dec. 1 Harvard splits the men's squad sending members to the Boston Round-Robin Tournament and a match against Rochester. In the final match of the calendar year the men play host to Williams Dec. 5.
The Crimson return to action following the winter holidays at home with a match against Bates Jan. 9. Harvard travels to Penn (Jan. 12) and Princeton (Jan. 13) then come back home for matches against Columbia (Feb. 2) and Cornell (Feb. 3). On Feb. 8, the Crimson goes on the road for a match against Brown before hosting Yale Feb. 10.
Harvard finishes its regular season on the road against Trinity Feb. 13. The Crimson then prepare for the CSA Team Championships taking place Feb. 22-24 at Yale. The CSA Individual Championships follow on Mar. 1-3 at Trinity College.
Harvard returns 20 players from last year's team that finished 16-4 overall and 5-2 in Ivy play. Mike Way, the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Squash at Harvard University, has last year's individual champion and first team All-American sophomore Ali Farag as well as fellow first team All-American Brandon McLaughlin.
