Meyer Captures Miami Open Water 10K Title

MIAMI, Fla. – Standout men’s swimming senior Alex Meyer, who received All-America accolades this season for a 14th-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the NCAA Championships, captured the title at the 2010 Nike Swim Miami Open Water Meet in the 10k event.

Meyer posted a time of 1:57:58 in the 10k race, finishing almost four minutes clear of his closest competitor. Meyer was the only competitor in the event to complete the race in less than two hours. The senior bested a field of 62 competitors.
