Men’s Swimming Competes at U.S. Nationals

IRVINE, Calif. –
Three members of the Harvard men’s swimming and diving team competed at the USA Swimming National Championships this past week at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center. Douwe Yntema, Blake Lewkowitz and Niall Janney represented the Crimson Aquatics team in a number of events over the five days of competition.

Yntema and Janney both qualified for the finals in the 400-meter individual medley and placed 63rd and 58th with times of 4:32.66 and 4:32.27, respectively. Janney also made the 200 IM finals and finished in 83rd with a time of 2:07.93. Lewkowitz, back in the pool after competing in a number of open-water events, swam in the 1,500-meter freestyle and took 63rd with a time of 16:10.60.
