TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Mike Mosca of the Harvard men's swimming and diving team qualified for summer and winter national championship events with an impressive showing at the USA Diving Zone B Championships in Tallahassee, Fla.
Mosca started the meet by winning the preliminary and final off of the three-meter board. He scored a 371.9 in the first round of dives and improved to a 381.55 to take the final. The Tenafly, N.J., native qualified for summer nationals by place (top five) and winter nationals by virtue of his score.
He also qualified to compete in the synchronized three-meter event with his new partner, Jack Nyquist, who will be a freshman at North Carolina.
In the one-meter, Mosca qualified as an alternate.
Summer nationals will be held in Iowa City, Iowa, Aug. 13-18 and winter nationals are slated for Austin, Texas, December 16-22.
