Jonathan Pearlman Featured in ITA Preseason Rankings

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Jonathan Pearlman was included in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association preseason men's singles and doubles rankings. Pearlman is ranked 78 on the singles chart while is part of a duo ranked 53 on the doubles list.

The Palm Beach, Fla,. native served in Harvard's number one slot for the majority of the 2010-11 season, going 11-11 from that position, while securing a 19-17 record overall. Pearlman proved to be valuable as a teammate as well serving as doubles-mate with five different partners and accruing a 22-9 mark last year.

According to the ITA rankings, Pearlman is the highest-ranked Ivy League competitor, beating out Yale's Marc Powers (118) and was a member of the only Ivy League duo to be featured on the doubles list.

The Harvard men's tennis team opens up its 2011-12 schedule hosting defending NCAA National Champion USC, Texas A&M and Michigan Sept. 23-25 at the Harvard Chowder Fest held at the Beren Tennis Center.
