During the three-day tournament, Chaudhuri bested his teammate and the 2011 Harvard Halloween Invite champion, Alex Steinroeder, 6-4, 6-4, in the semifinals to set up a showdown with fellow-Crimson, Lam, in the final round. The sophomore took the match in straight sets to secure the championship.
Lam defeated senior captain Andy Nguyen in a tightly contested semifinal match. The rookie dropped the first set before taking the second frame, 7-6 (9-7) on a tiebreaker and the third, 6-2, to advance. He previously beat Amherst's Ben Fife and Lucas da Silveria of Brown.
Steinroeder defeated Ivy League-foe, Brown's Ivan Karvtchenko, Friday and Army junior Asika Isoh Saturday.
Nguyen, who had a first-round bye, edged Mark Kahan of Amherst in the quarterfinals.
Both Steer and Seaver claimed opening-round victories in the 'B' flight bracket. Steer defeated Nik Telkedzhiev of Tufts, 6-2, 6-3, while Seaver swept third-seeded Amherst rookie, Aaron Revzin, 6-3, 6-3.
The Crimson concludes its fall slate Nov. 9-11 at the Tribe Invite.
