ITA Recognizes Harvard Men's Tennis with All-Academic Honors

Harvard had four players earn Scholar Athlete honors from the ITA.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's tennis team raked in four individual academic recognitions as well as a team honor when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its 2013 Men's All-Academic Awards Tuesday.

Andy Nguyen '13, captain of the 2013 squad, was awarded his second consecutive ITA All-Academic honor, while senior Brendan Seaver earned his first honor. Junior Alex Steinroeder and sophomore Nicholas Mahlangu rounded out the Crimson honorees.
This marks the fifth consecutive season Harvard has been awarded the team academic distinction. In order for a team to be recognized, a squad must earn a combined grade point average of at least 3.20.  For individual honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 GPA for the academic year.
The Crimson will open its 2013-14 season this weekend as it hosts the annual Harvard Chowder Fest.
