Men’s Tennis Welcomes Three Freshmen to 2013-14 Roster

The trio of freshmen will look to help Harvard to its third straight NCAA tournament appearance (Harvard Athletic Communications).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Dave Fish, The Scott Mead ’77 Head Coach for Harvard Men’s Tennis, announced the addition of three freshmen to the men’s tennis roster for the 2013-14 season. The three freshmen hail from California, Florida and China.

The incoming trio of players will bolster a Harvard team that captured its second straight Ivy League title in 2013. The 2012-13 Crimson was ranked as high as No. 17 in the nation and posted a 6-1 league record to secure the Ivy crown. Harvard captured the title at the Mission Valley Spring Classic for the second straight season, and also qualified for the NCAA tournament for the second time in as many years. In the opening round of the tournament, Harvard disposed of Samford, 4-0, and secured the doubles point in a 4-1 loss to tournament host No. 10 Mississippi State.
