Men's Volleyball Falls to NYU in Five Set Match

NEW YORK - The Harvard men's volleyball team
dropped a close 3-2 match to NYU Saturday afternoon at the Coles
Sports Center. Sophomore Matt Jones led three Crimson players in
double digit kills with 26. Senior Erik Kuld added 24 kills while
classmate Soren Rosier tallied 13.
Freshman Rob Lothman handed out a season-high 67 assists and also
tallied five block assists, also good for a season-high.
Harvard and NYU traded set victories, with the Crimson winning the
first and third sets. The match saw 45 ties and 14 lead changes,
including 24 ties and eight lead changes in the fourth set, which
saw the score end at 38-36 in favor of the home team. In the fifth
set, the Crimson rallied back from an early three point deficit to
tie the score at 6-6, but the Violets capitalized on kills and
Harvard attack errors to claim a 15-11 win.
Harvard returns home for its final two regular season matches next
weekend, hosting Sacred Heart, April 16, and NJIT, April 17.
