White averaged 4.57 kills per set in victories over MIT and Sacred Heart (Gil Talbot).
BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – DJ White, of the Harvard men's volleyball team, has been named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after back-to-back dominant performances against MIT and Sacred Heart.
White posted back-to-back 16-kill performances, averaging 4.57 kills per set through the two matches. He also averaged 2.43 digs per set, 0.72 blocks per set, and hit .438 during the two matches.
Against Sacred Heart, he moved into fourth on Harvard's career digs list, passing Brian Rapp '08. The award is the first of the year for White, and fifth EIVA weekly award in his career, including his fourth Offensive Player of the Week honor. White leads the Crimson with 3.68 kills and 4.10 points per set, which ranks 16th in the country, and is 13th nationally with 2.45 digs per set.
No. 13 Harvard takes it's four-match winning streak on the road to at Princeton February 13 and NJIT February 14. Both matches are set to begin at 7 p.m.
