BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Casey White of the Harvard men's volleyball team has been named EIVA Defensive Player of the Week after his strong performance against Pepperdine on March 17.
In his first career start at libero, White recorded a career-best 20 digs in just four sets, marking his second-straight match in double-digits and fifth total contest in 2015. White moved into the ninth-place nationally with 2.39 digs per set and helped push Harvard up to seventh as a team with 9.69 digs per set. The Hermosa Beach, California, native leads the Crimson with 136 digs this season.
The accolade is White's second EIVA award of the season, as the sophomore was named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week on January 26.
Harvard returns to EIVA play on Saturday, March 28 at 3 p.m. with a road tilt at George Mason.
