White earned his second conference accolade of 2015 (Gil Talbot).
BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – DJ White of the Harvard men's volleyball team has been named EIVA Defensive Player of the Week for April 6-12, announced by the league office.
White recorded nine digs in matches against Penn State and Saint Francis (Pa.), and added six blocks versus the Nittany Lions to win the award. White became the second Harvard men's volleyball player to reach 1,000 kills against the Red Flash, and is the first in program history with 1,000 kills and 500 digs.
The EIVA honor is the second of the year for White, as he was named the conference Offensive Player of the Week on February 9. With the award, White has accumulated five weekly EIVA awards in his career.
Harvard hosts George Mason on April 17 at the Malkin Athletic Center, with first serve set for 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network.
