Men’s Volleyball Reveals 2017 Schedule

The Crimson will host 11 games at the Malkin Athletic Center (Gil Talbot)

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Athletics has announced the men's volleyball schedule for 2017 which features 23 total matches, including 11 at the Malkin Athletic Center that will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Digital Network.

The Crimson concluded its 2016 campaign with a 13-11 overall record, marking its fifth-straight season with a winning record. Harvard also qualified for its fifth-straight EIVA Tournament appearance.

Harvard kicks off the 2017 schedule on the road against Lewis and Loyola-Chicago on Jan. 13 and Jan. 14, respectively.

The Crimson returns home for a five-match stretch. On Jan. 19, Harvard faces Fort Wayne and quickly returns to action the next day against Ball State. Harvard then hosts Alderson Broaddus on Feb. 4, with back-to-back matches slated against George Mason on Feb. 11 and Feb. 12.

The men will play Penn State on Feb. 17. Penn State reached No. 6 in the NCAA polls last season. Harvard will also see action at St. Francis (PA) on Feb. 18.

Harvard will host three of the next four matches: Princeton on Feb. 24, NJIT on Feb. 25 and Coker on March 7. The Crimson will to travel to Sacred Heart on March 4.

The team will compete on the West Coast during Harvard's spring break. On March 11, Harvard faces UCLA, which was consistently ranked in the top-five of the nation last season. The Crimson also battles UC Santa Barbara on March 13. UC Santa Barbara climbed their way up the polls throughout last season, finishing the year at fifth in the country. Harvard closes out its West Coast visit against USC on March 14.

The Crimson returns to action on March 24 when they host Sacred Heart. Next, Harvard travels to West Virginia to face Charleston in back-to-back contests on March 31 and April 1.

Harvard will host Saint Francis on April 7 and Penn State on April 8. The Crimson will be on the road at Princeton on April 14 and NJIT on April 15 to close regular season play.

The EIVA Semifinals and Finals will be hosted by the top seeded school on April 20-22. The NCAA Championships are set for May 4.
