CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The men's volleyball team was unable to edge No. 15 George Mason on Sunday afternoon, falling 3-0 to the Patriots at the Malkin Athletic Center.
Casey White led the Crimson (3-4, 1-1 EIVA) attack with nine kills, while Erik Johnsson and Brad Gretsch added seven and six kills, respectively. Marko Kostich added 14 assist to lead Harvard, with support from White and Grestch who earned six and five digs.
A strong effort by the George Mason attack (.387), helped the visitors to a three-set victory – 25-23, 25-17, 25-22. The Crimson were held to a .212 attack percentage on the afternoon, despite a standout first set (.294). Harvard falls to 10-13 in the all-time series against the Patriots.
The Crimson will travel to Pennsylvania next weekend. On Feb. 17, Harvard faces Penn State at 7 p.m. and quickly returns to action the next day against Saint Francis at 4 p.m.
