Max Eliot scored seven times in four games at the Princeton Invitational (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men’s water polo junior Max Eliot has been named the Collegiate Water Polo Association Northern Division Player of the Week for Sept. 12. The Studio City, Calif. native led Harvard to a 2-2 record at the Princeton Invitational Sept. 10-11.
Eliot directed the Crimson offense with seven goals at the tournament and also recorded three steals. Five of his goals came during a 13-12 win over George Washington, including the game-winner with 1:36 remaining in overtime. He added two more scores in the fourth quarter of an 8-6 come-from-behind win over Fordham.
The goals added to Eliot’s team leading total of 11 for the season.
Harvard takes to the pool again Sept. 16-17 at the North-South Tournament in Annapolis, Md. The Crimson will face Bucknell, Mercyhurst and Navy’s ‘B’ squad during the two-day event.
