CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's water polo freshman Ben Zepfel has earned his third Collegiate Water Polo Association Northern Division Rookie of the Week Award for his performance at the CWPA Northern Championships over the weekend.

Zepfel dominated in the pool to help the Crimson qualify for the CWPA Eastern Division Championships for the second consecutive season. The Newport Beach, Calif. native tallied 10 goals and seven steals in the Crimson's three games in Providence.

In the opener against Fordham, Zepfel recorded a hat trick and three steals to lift the Crimson past the Rams, 10-8, for the second time this season and send the team back to the Eastern Championships. He followed up his performance with four goals and three steals against No. 15 St. Francis. In Sunday's finale against MIT, Zepfel added another three goals and one steal.

The Corona del Mar product previously won the award Sept. 17 and Oct. 15, which ups Harvard's team total to eight this season. Noah Harrison (Sept. 3 and Oct. 8), Blake Lee (Sept. 24 and Oct. 22) and Robbie Fluegge (Oct. 29) have also earned the honor.

Zepfel now leads the team with 70 goals and ranks third with 34 steals this year.
