Harrison Leads Harvard Men's Water Polo at Bruno Fall Classic

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Harvard men's water polo team was unable to muster a win against No. 10 St. Francis (N.Y.), 10-7, No. 3 Stanford, 17-5, and No. 16 Brown, 8-7, at day one of the Bruno Fall Classic at Brown.

In the opener, the Crimson was not able to hold on in a back-and-fourth fight against No. 10 St. Francis. After leading 4-3 at half, the Terriers took a 5-4 lead heading into the fourth period.  Harvard evened the score at seven but did not find the back of the net for that final two minutes of the game.
The Crimson fell to No. 3 Stanford in the second game, 17-5. As the half came to a close, Harvard was trailing 6-3. The Cardinals responded with seven goals in the third and four goals in the fourth for the win. Jimmy Field recorded 11 saves in the game.

The team took on host No. 16 Brown in the final game of the day. The Crimson, in search for their first win of the season came out strong.  Harvard entered the fourth with a 6-3 advantage.  The Bears rallied to score six goals in the final period of the game.

The Crimson has goals from six different players throughout the day.  The offensive efforts were highlighted by Noah Harrison who ended the day with seven goals and two assists, Ben Zepfel (three goals), Blake Lee (three goals and eight assists) and Robbie Fluegge (two goals and two assists). Harvard used Colin Woolway (20 saves) and Jimmy Field (nine saves) during the first day of action.

The Crimson return to the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center at Brown looking to record their first win of the season against Washington & Jefferson before taking on UC Irvine.  All games at the Bruno Fall Classic are streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
