CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Joey Colton of the Harvard men's water polo team has been named Collegiate Water Polo Association's North Division Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

At the Bruno Falls Classic at Brown, Colton tallied three goals, six assists and eight steals in five games. The rookie's eight steals is good for second on the team behind sophomore Noah Harrison.

Colton contributed two goals, four assists and six steals on day one, as the Crimson could not muster a win against No. 10 St. Francis, No. 3 Stanford and No. 16 Brown. The Garden Grove, Calif., native added a goal, an assist and a steal to give Harvard its first win of the season against Washington & Jefferson before recording a goal, two assists and a steal versus No. 9 UC Irvine.

This is the first CWPA honor for the Crimson this season and it is also the first time that Colton has been recognized by the CWPA.

Harvard travels to the Garden State for the Princeton Invitational this weekend before opening up their conference slate at the end of the month.
