CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's water polo team went undefeated at Blodgett Pool this weekend to run its win streak to four games.

The Crimson handily defeated Connecticut College, 16-3, and dropped Brown, 6-5, to snap a 15-game losing streak against the Bears that dates back to 2006 on day one. The team returned to the pool and cruised past MIT, 13-10, to end the weekend with an perfect 3-0 record.

Harvard never trailed en route to a win over the Camels.  The Crimson buried eight goals in the opening frame of the game to take an 8-1 lead that it would never relinquished.

The Crimson saw eight different players find the back of the net while outscoring the Camels in three of the four frames. Noah Harrison, Viktor Wrobel and Ben Zepfel all tallied three goals apiece to pace the Crimson offense while Austen Novis and Blake Lee each recorded two goals. Max Murphy, William Roller and Christopher Miao each registered one.

Sophomore Colin Woolway and captain Jimmy Field split time in goal and both recorded five saves in the win. Harvard remains undefeated against Connecticut College and increases its win streak to four consecutive games.

In the second game of the day, Harvard topped Brown, 6-5, to extend its current win streak to three. The Crimson and Bears were tied at four heading into the third frame when Harvard outscored its competitor 2-0.

In the final minutes of the game, Brown had a chance to knot the score at six, but Harvard's defense helped to lock up the win. Freshman Joey Colton led the way with two goals while Roller, Zepfel, Stevens and Harrison each contributed a goal.

Defensively, Robbie Fluegge, Zepfel, Wrobel and Lee each tallied two steals while Woolway registered four stops.

In the final game of the weekend, the Crimson hosted cross town rival MIT in a back-and-fourth battle. Wrobel paced Harvard with five goals while Zepfel, Harrison and Lee contributed two goals apiece.

Harvard got off to a quick start as Harrison was awarded a 5-meter just two minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead.  MIT answered right back to even the score. The Crimson added another six goals to extend the lead to three by intermission.

MIT outscored Harvard 3-2 in the third quarter to narrow the Crimsons lead to two. Harvard answered in the fourth with four goals to secure the win. Woolway registered six saves in the match.

Three wins this weekend helped Harvard improve to 7-8 overall and 5-1 in the CWPA. The Crimson returns to action next weekend against Connecticut College.
