CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Despite a close game, the T-11 Harvard men's water polo team lost to T-11 Princeton, 11-9 Saturday night. At the half, the Crimson trailed the Tigers 5-2, with Harvard's two goals courtesy of senior captain Colin Chiapello and sophomore Austin Sechrest.
The second half of the game, freshman Dennis Blyashov propelled the Crimson toward a comeback, scoring three key goals in a row. However, the Crimson ultimately fell to the Tigers, 11-9.
Three goals each from senior captain Colin Chiapello and freshman Dennis Blyashov highlighted the nail-biting contest. Freshman Bruno Snow and sophomores Charlie Owens and Austin Sechrest each notched a goal of their own for the Crimson. Five different players earned assists, including two each from Chiapello and Snow. Junior goalkeeper Anthony Ridgley made 11 key saves for the Crimson in the contest.
