CAMBRIDGE, Mass. —Juniors Meghan Wareham and Alan Palmer and senior Michelle Konstadt of the Harvard sailing team have been named to the All-New England coed sailing teams, the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association has announced.

Wareham, a native of Osterville, Mass., has been selected as a first-team All-New England crew. Palmer, who hails from Yarmouth, Maine, is a second-team skipper selection, while Konstadt, an Armonk, N.Y., native, is a second-team crew. The teams were determined following the conclusion of the New England Team Racing Championship last weekend. All three athletes helped Harvard win its first eight races of the weekend and finish seventh.

Wareham, Palmer and Konstadt also contributed to the Crimson’s qualification for the national championship regatta with a sixth-place finish at the New England Dinghy Championship and fifth-place showing at the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association Western Semi Finals.

Palmer and Wareham paced Harvard with a fourth-place finish in the A division at the ICSA semis, winning three races. They finished fifth in the A division at the New England regatta. Konstadt,  sailing alongside skipper John Stokes, helped the Crimson place sixth in the B division at the ICSA semis.

The trio joins Harvard’s four women’s All-New England selections: senior Liz Powers and sophomores Emily Lambert, Marie Appel and Alexandra Jumper.
Harvard will conclude its season by competing for national titles at the ICSA Women’s National Championship May 27-28 and the ICSA/Gill Dinghy National Championship June 1-3. Both regattas will be held in Madison, Wis.
