Harvard Women's Sailing Seventh at Nationals Following Short Race Day
CASCADE LOCKS, Ore. – Following almost a four-hour delay to open day three of sailing at the Sperry Top-Sider/ICSA Women’s National Championship, competition resumed with both the A and B divisions completing four races.
The Crimson, who came into the third day in sixth place, slipped one spot to seventh with an overall score of 96. Harvard’s A division sailed in the middle of the pack for most of the day, but was able to register a second-place finish in the sixth race.
The Crimson’s B division opened sailing with another victory in race three. Following a 15th-place showing in the fifth race, Harvard bounced back with a third-place showing in the sixth race of the division before sailing was called for the day.
The teams are scheduled to hit the water again today at 12 p.m. Event coverage can be found here.
