Sailing Coeds Claim Second at Moody Trophy

WAKEFIELD, R.I. – The No. 5 Harvard sailing coed team raced to second place at the Moody Trophy, hosted by Rhode Island, Oct. 12-13.
The Crimson sailed to 132 team points in 10 races in FJs on Point Judith Pond. Just 16 points ahead of Harvard, No. 3 Boston College claimed the 17-team field Moody Trophy with 116 points.
The A division skipper, junior Michael Drumm, sailed with senior Isabel Ruane. The duo tallied 79 points in a seventh-place finish, just four behind the No. 12 Brown boat that took sixth. Drumm and Ruane sailed to three consecutive fourth-place finishes to conclude the regatta.
For the second straight year, junior Brian Drumm and sophomore Jacob Bradt manned the B division boat as skipper and crew, respectively. The pair sailed to a second-place finish in the division with 53 points featuring two victories, a second-place finish and two third-place finishes.
Harvard returns to the water 19-20 in six different regattas.
