Softball Team, Players Honored by NFCA
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Six Harvard softball players
have been selected as 2009 National Fastpitch Coaches Association
Scholar-Athletes, and the Crimson ranked 22nd in the nation in team
grade-point average.
The team compiled a GPA of 3.352 and ranked second among Ivy
League teams.
Six team members were recognized as scholar-athletes after
finishing the 2008-09 academic year with at least a 3.5 GPA.
Recent graduate Bailey Vertovez ’09, an economics
concentrator, was honored, along with current players Margaux Black
(psychology), Stephanie Krysiak (English and American literature
and language), Dana Roberts (economics), Eve Rosenbaum (undeclared)
and Melissa Schellberg (psychology).
