Becca Carden joined the Harvard coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in January 2013 and is in her second season as a full assistant in 2015.

The Miami, Okla., native comes to Harvard after a celebrated collegiate career and post-collegiate tenure. Carden began her college career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where she was an outfielder. She batted .450 and launched seven home runs, earning All-America accolades and helping the Lady Norse to a fourth-place finish at the national tournament.

After a year at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Carden transferred to Arkansas where she played three season for the Razorbacks. As a senior, she batted .335 with six home runs and 24 RBI and also posted 53 hits and 10 stolen bases. Following her senior season, Carden joined the Stratford Brakettes of the Women’s Major Softball league (WMS) and led the team with a .485 batting average. She also helped the squad capture the 2012 WMS Championship. Carden played on the Brakettes with current Harvard assistant Ashley Waters.
