Nadler Second In Giant Slalom Again to Pace Crimson at Dartmouth Carnival
LYME, N.H./ STOWE, Vt. - Rebecca Nadler turned in another terrific effort in the giant slalom event Friday, finishing second to lead the Crimson on the first day of the Dartmouth Carnival at the Dartmouth Skiway. Overall, Harvard finished in ninth place out of 15 competing schools at the 102nd Dartmouth Carnival.
Alena Tofte paced the Nordic women in the 5k freestyle event with a 10th place finish in racing that took place at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vt.
Chris Stock led the men with a 14th place finish in the 10k freestyle event.
On Saturday, the women didn't fare as well in the slalom but had two racers in the top 25 with Cate Kistler and Elizabeth Strong finishing 23rds and 24th.
In the women's 15k classic event with a mass start, Tofte was mired in the slower second grouping at the Trapp Family Lodge but managed to move up from 21st to 18th place despite the logjam.
