|Alma Mater:||Harvard '10|
Honeoye Falls, N.Y. native and Harvard alum Audrey Mangan joined the Harvard Nordic ski team as assistant coach for the 2013-14 season and is in her second year with the squad in 2014-15.
In her first season as an assistant, Mangan helped the Nordic squad to one of its best seasons ever, seeing three skiier qualify for the NCAA Championships in Park City, Utah.
As a student-athlete, Mangan was a top-15 EISA carnival skier and captain, and since graduating in 2010 she has played many roles in the Nordic ski community through junior coaching, her work in the ski industry and as an editor at FasterSkier.com.
As an assistant coach of the Boulder Nordic Junior Race Team in Boulder, Colo., Mangan worked with junior skiers aged eight to twelve during the 2010-11 season and discovered she enjoyed the coaching side of the sport. For the last two years, she has been an associate editor at FasterSkier.com, North America’s premier source of Nordic-related news, where she further developed her interest in skiing at all levels through interviewing, filming and photographing races in the U.S. and Europe.
With her return to Harvard skiing, Mangan looks forward to having a direct impact on athlete development and helping the team continue to grow.
