Deppen's Double in 100m and 400m Hurdles Paces Harvard at Tufts Snowflake Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Harvard track and field team sent select student-athletes to compete at the Tufts Snowflake Invitational on Sunday (April 2). Leading the way for Harvard was senior Sylvia Deppen, who won both events she competed in. Deppen took first in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.41 seconds, and also won the 400-meter hurdles in her Harvard debut in the event. Deppen's winning time in that race was 1:03.73.

On the men's side, freshman Will Rienas finished second in the 400-meter hurdles in 56.98, while senior Alex Kirby took sixth place in 59.36.  Freshman Tom Rienas took 11th place in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:01.98.

This weekend, Harvard travels to Yale for the Harvard-Yale vs. Oxford-Cambridge meet on April 8 at Dewitt Cuyler Field.
