Markley Named Ivy League Player of the Week for Second Time This Season

Junior Emma Markley earned Ivy League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 30 after averaging 17.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game last week. It is the second time in three weeks, Markley has earned the honor.

Markley led Harvard in the championship game of the Omni Hotels Classic with 24 points. She was 10-15 from the field with seven rebounds, four blocks and a steal against Colorado. In the first game of the tournament, Markley had eight points, including a 4-for-4 effort from the free throw line, six blocks and two steals. Markley earned a spot on the all-tournament team and broke the Colorado tournament recorded for blocks in a game with six. Markley also scored a team-high 21 points for the Crimson Tuesday against New Hampshire.

Freshman Victoria Lippert was named to the honor roll for her 12 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals per game last week.

Harvard hosts Holy Cross Wednesday in the first game of a doubleheader with the Harvard men. The Crimson tipoff at 6 p.m.
