CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball welcomes sophomore Taylor Rooks to its roster, head coach Kathy Delaney-Smith announced Thursday. Rooks will sit the 2015-16 season in residency after transferring from Stanford.
The 6-0 Warren, New Jersey product played in 12 games for the Cardinal, totaling nine points and seven rebounds. She made her collegiate debut in the season opener against Boston College, scoring a basket.
Prior to arriving in Palo Alto, Rooks played for Gill St. Bernard's School, where she was a 2014 Parade All-American after averaging 23.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.9 blocks per game as a senior. A two-time New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year, she was rated a five-star recruit by ESPN HoopGurlz and the No. 18 player overall in the class of 2014.
