    Junior Sydney Skinner and sophomore Katie Benzan each scored 20 points, while sophomore Jeannie Boehm went for her third double-double this season with 16 points and 14 rebounds, pacing the Harvard women’s basketball team to a 76-65 victory over visiting Dartmouth Saturday evening.

    Harvard is set to host Dartmouth Saturday at Lavietes Pavilion in a contest that can be seen live on ESPN3 at 6 p.m. The game is the second Ivy League contest for both squads, with Dartmouth beating the Crimson in Hanover two weeks ago, 63-56.

    Sophomore Jeannie Boehm was an efficient 9-of-11 from the field to lead all scorers with 19 points and Sydney Skinner chipped in a season-high 16 points off the bench, pacing the Harvard women’s basketball team (8-6) to a 70-61 victory over La Salle (5-11) Wednesday at Lavietes Pavilion.

    Senior Taylor Rooks racked up 17 points, sophomore Jeannie Boehm finished with 13 and freshman Jadyn Bush grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds leading the Harvard women’s basketball team (6-5) to a 76-63 victory over Akron (6-5) Thursday. Following the conclusion of the game, Rooks and Boehm were selected to the FGCU Hilton Garden Inn All-Tournament Team.

    Senior Taylor Rooks registered her third double-double of the season, posting 16 points and 10 rebounds, but Harvard suffered a 65-56 loss against Florida Gulf Coast as part of the Hilton Garden Classic in Ft. Myers, Florida Wednesday.
  • Women's Basketball Faces FGCU, Akron at Hilton Garden Inn Classic

    The Harvard women’s basketball team heads to Ft. Myers, Florida to play a pair of games at the FGCU Hilton Garden Inn Classic Wednesday and Thursday. Harvard will take on the host Florida Gulf Coast at 7 p.m. live on ESPN3 and then face Akron at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. All games will be played at Alico Arena.

    The thought of me going to Harvard never amazed me as much as it amazes others until the summer after my freshman year. When I first committed, I was excited not because its Harvard, but instead because of the people I would have the opportunity to spend time with. After meeting the other three girls in my recruiting class, I could not wait to be with them for four years and I had high hopes of befriending many other remarkable people.

    Led by a career-high 27 points from sophomore guard Katie Benzan, Harvard women’s basketball (5-4) defeated Northeastern (3-5), 79-69, Wednesday afternoon at Matthews Arena. Harvard made 14 3-pointers in the game, it’s most this season.

    The Harvard women’s basketball team will head across town Wednesday to take on Northeastern at 12 p.m. The game is being played as part of Boston Public Schools Day at historic Matthews Arena and can be seen live on GoNU.com. The game is the last matchup for the Crimson before it takes a two-week hiatus for finals.

    Scoring a season-high 19 points, sophomore Jeannie Boehm led the Harvard women’s basketball team (4-3) to a 64-60 victory over North Carolina A&T Sunday. Classmate Katie Benzan was selected to the Cavalier Classic All-Tournament team after averaging 11.5 points and seven rebounds over the weekend.

    Sophomore Katie Benzan and junior Madeline Raster each tallied 11 points, but Virginia (3-3) edged the Harvard women’s basketball team (3-3), 50-48, Saturday at John Paul Jones Arena in the first game of the Cavalier Classic.

    Winners of its last three games, the Harvard women’s basketball team (3-2) will head to Virginia for a pair of games at the Cavalier Classic Thanksgiving weekend. The Crimson will face the host Cavaliers (2-3) at 2 p.m. Saturday on ESPN3 and wrap-up with a 1 p.m. matinee against North Carolina A&T Sunday. 
  • Sharp Shooting Leads Women’s Basketball Past Boston University, 80-70
    November 21, 2017
    Led by senior Taylor Rook’s 22 points and 11 rebounds, the Harvard women’s basketball team (3-2) pushed past Boston University, 80-70, at Lavietes Pavilion Tuesday night. The Crimson made 13 3-pointers in the winning effort, its most since Nov. 12, 2016 when it made 16 at Minnesota.

    The Harvard women’s basketball team (1-2) topped visiting Siena (1-2) in its home opener Wednesday night, 75-67. Harvard’s offense was led by 22 points from sophomore Katie Benzan and senior Taylor Rooks recorded a career-best 15 rebounds.
