Nine Harvard Athletes Ready for 2013 World Rowing Championships

CHUNGJU, South Korea – Eight current and former Harvard/Radcliffe rowers and Charley Butt, The Bolles-Parker Head Coach for Harvard Men's Heavyweight Crew, will represent the USA and Canada at the 2013 World Championships in Chungju, South Korea. Races will be held Aug. 25-Sept. 1.

Butt, junior Andrew Campbell, Olivia Coffey '11, Michael Disanto '12, Esther Lofgren '07-'09, Austin Meyer '12-13 and Henrik Rummel '09 will represent the red, white and blue, while Brendan Hodge '07 and David Wakulich '11 will compete for Canada.

The Crimson will be represented in lightweight men's double sculls, lightweight men's pair, lightweight men's single sculls, men's four, men's pair, men's quadruple sculls, women's four and women's quadruple sculls.

Heats will begin Sunday at 10 a.m. and go through Wednesday, Aug. 28. The semifinals are set for Thursday and Friday. World champions will be crowned Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
