CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Three members of the Harvard-Radcliffe heavyweight crew have been selected to the New England All-Region teams, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association has announced this week.
Jenna Gregoire and Deva Steketee were named to the CRCA New England All-Region first team, while Frederika Archibald was part of the second team. These awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains from each of the five regions, organized into first- and second-team selections. Nominated student-athletes are evaluated on the strength of their team's regional finish, coaches' recommendations and 2,000-meter ergometer score. Nominees must be eligible student-athletes who have competed in their teams' varsity boat in 75 percent of races this season.
The selected athletes will be eligible for All-America awards selection following the NCAA Rowing Championships. Radcliffe will make its 14th appearance in the 16-year history of the regatta, which will run from Friday through Sunday on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.
The No. 12 Radcliffe heavyweight crew will participate in the NCAA championships this weekend in Indianapolis, Ind.
