Five Standout Freshmen to Join Radcliffe Lightweight Crew

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—The Radcliffe lightweight crew will welcome five accomplished oarswomen as incoming recruits for the 2010-11 season, Black and White head coach Heather Cartwright announced Thursday.
The Black and White is coming off a successful spring that saw Radcliffe earn a bronze medal at Eastern Sprints, place fourth at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships and capture the Class of 2004 and Muri Cups. The incoming rowers will join a large, talented group of returning athletes as Radcliffe seeks more medals next season.

Elizabeth Dunkel – Berwyn, Pa.
A four-year crew letterwinner at Conestoga High School
… Part of winning boats at the Stotesbury Cup in 2008
(junior varsity quad) and 2009 (lightweight double) … Placed
third at the 2010 Scholastic Nationals Regatta in the lightweight
double … Helped the lightweight double win a Philadelphia
city title in 2009 and place second in 2010 … Winner of
National Merit Scholarship and Rensselaer Mathematics and Science
Award and Scholarship … National Honor Society
member.
Erin Driscoll – Needham, Mass.
Coxed in the varsity four at The Winsor School ... Won
gold at the 2010 NEIRA Championships as part of the girl's varsity
four ... Won a bronze medal at USRowing Youth National
Championships in 2009 ... Placed second in the Head of the Charles
Regatta in 2009 and 2010 ... Also coxed for Boston's Community
Rowing ....Won gold in the junior women's four and silver in the
junior women's eight at USRowing Club National Championships in
2009 ... Won gold at Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in junior
