Radcliffe Lightweight Eight Takes Silver at Head of the Charles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a strong headwind, Radcliffe lightweight crew took second in the championship eight event at the 49th-annual Head of the Charles Regatta Sunday. The Black and White finished with a time of 17:15.232 to trail only the Netherlands (Minerva Rowing Club).

Radcliffe bested Wisconsin by over six seconds to take silver. Coxed by Erin Driscoll, the Radcliffe boat was rowed by Gabrielle McNeill, Claire Harmange, Ruby Emberling, Naomi Lang, Katherine Mallett, Elizabeth MacEachern, Adelaide Backer and Elizabeth Lenczowski.

Also registering a strong finish was the Radcliffe fours, ranking third with a time of 20:01.652. Coxed by Gabrielle Giugliano, the Black and White boat of Olivia Henry, Devi Lockwood, Taylor Garden and Andrea Linares finished just behind UMass' time of 19:59.851.
