Four Newcomers Set to Join Women's Fencing in 2013-14

Harvard adds four freshmen to a roster that returns three All-Americans from a year ago (Gil Talbot).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard women's fencing team will welcome four student-athletes from the Class of 2017 to the program this fall, head coach Peter Brand announced. Adrienne Jarocki, Hali Nelson, Liana Yamin and Erica Zhao will join the Crimson for the upcoming campaign.

Two members of the Class of 2017 are sabre fencers, while the other duo are foil fencers.

The Crimson newcomers will be joining some talented company as the squad finished the season with an 12-8 overall record in 2012-13, while going 4-2 in the Ivy League, finishing third in the Ancient Eight. Harvard also finished sixth at the NCAA Championships and had three All-Ivy honors, while three fencers receive All-America accolades.
