CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Peter Brand, the head coach of the Harvard women's fencing team, has announced the addition of three recruits for the upcoming 2014-15 season; Claire Dinhut, MacKenzie Lawrence, and Hellary Zhang.
Hinhut will compete in the epee, while Lawrence and Zhang look to add depth in the foil.
The three incoming freshmen join a Harvard squad that returns nine letterwinners from 2013-14 who helped the Crimson post a 16-4 overall record and go 4-2 against Ivy League competition to finish second in the league. Harvard's six All-Ivy honorees, including Outstanding and Rookie Performer Adrienne Jarocki, helped the Crimson take fifth at the NCAA Championships, where Jarocki was crowned the NCAA individual sabre champion and six fencers garnered All-America accolades.
