Golf's Cho Named Player of the Year; Sylvan Rookie of the Year

Harvard sophomore Christine Cho was named as the 2010 Ivy League Player of the Year while freshman Katie Sylvan was named the Rookie of the Year in voting by the league’s head coaches. Sylvan also earned a place on the first team while Cho earned second team honors - determined by virtue of their individual finish in the Ivy League Women's Golf Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., which took place on April 23, 24 & 25.

All-Ivy first team includes the competition's top-five finishers, while the second team is comprised of sixth-place through tenth-place.

Joining the Harvard duo on the all-league teams was senior Claire Sheldon who finished among the top 10 for the third time in her career.

The Ivy League Player and Rookie of the Year Awards were voted on by the seven head women's golf coaches.
