Crimson Skaters Help Team USA to Runner-Up Finish at Four Nations Cup
Team USA was undefeated in pool play at the 2010 Four
Nations Cup (Matthew Manor).

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – After posting an undefeated
record through pool play, the U.S. National Women’s Hockey
Team fell to Team Canada, 3-2 in overtime, in the final of the 2010
Four Nations Cup, Saturday. Katey Stone, the Landry Family Head
Coach for Harvard Women’s Hockey, led Team USA, which
featured three former and current Harvard players, to its second
straight silver medal at the tournament.
Caitlin Cahow ’08, Julie Chu ’06-07 and Josephine Pucci ’13 all represented Harvard on the U.S. National Women’s Team at the tournament. Cahow picked up an assist in Team USA’s 3-2 pool-play win over the Canadians, and Chu registered the first U.S. goal in the final, knotting the score at 1-1 in the second period. Stone’s her next game action as U.S. head coach will come at the IIHF World Women’s Championship in Switzerland in April 2011.
Former Harvard goalie Christina Kessler ’10 was one of three goalies on the Canadian roster, while 2008 Patty Kazmaier Award winner and Olympic gold medalist Sarah Vaillancourt ’08-09, was on Canada’s preliminary roster but was unable to compete due to injury.
