CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the first time in program history, the Harvard women's hockey team will play at Fenway Park, Fenway Sports Management (FSM) announced today. The Crimson will host Northeastern Jan. 2 at 3:30 p.m. as part of Citi Frozen Fenway 2014.
"We are thrilled to be a part of this year's Frozen Fenway," said Maura Crowell, head coach for the 2013-14 season. "Harvard Athletics and Fenway Park have a connection dating back to 1912 when our baseball team played the Sox in the first game ever at Fenway. We feel lucky to have the opportunity to carry on this tradition and play the game we love at such a historic place."
Originally scheduled for Jan. 4, the Crimson will be part of the 17-day ice event that includes two free community skate days, seven high school hockey games and eight men's collegiate hockey contests.
Tickets will be available starting in November.
