Halpern Earns National Recognition for Leading Crimson Over Cornell
Sophomore Jess Halpern was name to the womenslacrosse.com honor roll for her efforts in Harvard's 11-7 win over No. 20 Cornell last Saturday.
Halpern scored four goals and added an assist in the win for the Crimson. It was her 11th game of the season scoring three or more goals. The Longmeadow, Mass., native scored the first three tallies for the Crimson and added another to start the second half.
Halpern leads the team and the league in goals with 44, goals per game with 2.93 and points with 53. She is second in the league in points per game with 3.53.
The Crimson closes out the 2009 campaign Thursday at Boston College. First draw is slated for 4:30 p.m.
