Sophomore Jess Halpern was selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) All-Regional team for her outstanding play on the field this spring. Halpern earned a spot on the first team for the Northeast Region.
Halpern was named first-team All-Ivy League earlier this month as a midfielder. She led the Crimson and the Ivy League in goals with 46. She had nine assists for 55 points, which was also a team and league best. The 2008 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, scored three or more goals 11 times in 2009 and has scored in 28 of her 32 collegiate games. She scored 12 more goals this season than last and has a total of 82 tallies after just two seasons.
She is just the seventh Harvard player to be named first-team all-regional and the first since Erin Kutner'02 in 2002.
