Harvard Women's Lacrosse Hosts National Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's lacrosse team hosted the United States National team Saturday night in a fall exhibition game at the Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium. The event was a part of US Lacrosse Stars & Stripes weekend.

Team USA won the game 17-4 and had 11 players find the back of the net. Danielle Spencer and Jillian Byers had four and three goals, respectively.

Sophomore Micaela Cyr led the Crimson with two goals, while classmate Jennifer VanderMeulen and newcomer Jenn Leffew had one goal each.  Junior Kerry Clark played 47 minutes in the net and made six saves, while classmate Julia Nagle made three saves in the final 13 minutes of the game.

Harvard won 13 draw controls, while Team USA had 10. The Crimson defense caused six turnovers.
