Harvard sophomore Danielle Tetreault was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week for her effort in Harvard’s near upset at No. 6 Stanford.
Tetreault scored a game- and career-high six goals in Harvard’s season opener. The second-year midfielder netted seven shots, scooped up two ground balls, won a draw control and caused a turnover for the Crimson. She was a perfect 2-for-2 on free position shots as well.
The Crimson scored 17 or more goals three times last year, all victories for Harvard. The 17 goals are the most since posting 19 against Holy Cross in the 2008 season opener.
Harvard begins Ivy League play this weekend at Cornell. First draw is slated for 1 p.m.
