CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Following a week in which she tallied seven goals and helped the Crimson secure two victories, Jennifer VanderMeulen has been selected as the COOP Athlete of the Week for April 18, 2011.
Visiting Holy Cross on Wednesday, VanderMeulen netted three goals, while dishing out two helpers in a 10-6 Crimson win. She followed that performance with four goals and one assist in a critical 9-8 win over No. 12 Princeton. VanderMeulen is currently riding a 26-game scoring streak through the first 26 games of her career. Between the two games she also secured three ground balls, caused two turnovers and won one draw control.
The win over Princeton gives the Crimson a 4-1 conference mark, good for a tie for second with Dartmouth. Harvard and the Big Green sit just one game back of Penn for a share of the conference title.
