Cyr Tabbed Ivy Offensive Player of the Week

Micaela Cyr leads Harvard with 16 goals, seven assists and 23 points (Craig Cyr).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior captain Micaela Cyr of the Harvard women’s lacrosse team has been honored as the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Cyr, a native of Lexington, Mass., shared the weekly award with Princeton’s Erin McMunn.  
 
A midfielder, Cyr helped Harvard win two games last week, scoring a total of seven goals and adding three assists for 10 points in victories over Marquette and Yale. Cyr matched her career-best with five goals and six points, while adding two ground balls and two draw controls against Marquette March 19.
 
In a 10-5 win over Yale, Cyr netted two goals and dished out two assists for four points, while snaring four ground balls and having two draw controls and a caused turnover.
 
Cyr and the Crimson stand 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the Ivy League and will visit Boston University Friday, March 29 at 7 p.m.
