PRINCETON, N.J. – For the second time this season, senior attacker Marisa Romeo has been selected as the Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday, March 20. Romeo also won the award on March 6.
Romeo poured in 11 points in two games to lead the Crimson to a 1-1 week. Romeo scored four goals and assisted on another in her team's 13-7 win over Ohio State, with three goals and her assist coming in the final 15 minutes of the game to turn an 8-7 deficit in to a 13-7 advantage. She then posted three goals and three assists against No. 6 Syracuse, including five points in the second half as Harvard came back from a 14-8 deficit to send the game to overtime.
Romeo leads the Harvard offense this season with 21 goals and 29 points. She has at least three goals in each of the last four games for the Crimson and was added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List March 16.
Harvard hosts Massachusetts Wednesday and Columbia Saturday.
