Wrestling's Keith Named NWCA Division I All-Academic True Freshmen

Harvard wrestler Steven Keith was one of eight wrestlers to be named 2009-10 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division I All-Academic True Freshmen. The announcement was made the NWCA Wednesday afternoon.
Keith, an NCAA qualifier as a freshman for the Crimson, compiled a 20-12 record at 125 and 133 pounds last year. He finished third at the EIWA Championships, winning five of six matches en route to an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships.
The Shoreham, N.Y., native had the fifth best grade point average in the nation among true freshmen in his first year of school.
In order to be selected each individual must have completed two full semesters at this institution, while meeting a particular GPA and competition mark.
Harvard is less than two months away from the start of the 2010-11 season. The Crimson opens up at the Binghamton Open Nov. 14.
