Freshman Delia Hellander notched both Harvard tries in a 10-5 win over BU Sunday (Elan Kawesch).

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.
– The Harvard women's rugby team finished 3-1 at the AIC 7s Tournament Sunday, earning three-straight victories before falling to Quinnipiac, 39-0, in the semifinal round. The Crimson defeated Norwich 'A', Boston and West Chester with a  strong defensive effort, allowing just 12 points total over the three-game stretch.

Harvard (7-2) continued to dominate defensively, racking up three more contests in which it has held its opponents to single digits to mark the seventh time the Crimson has done so in nine games this season. Harvard rolled to a 15-0 victory over Norwich A and a 10-5 win against Boston to open pool play, followed by a 31-7 win over West Chester in the quarterfinals. The Crimson ran out of steam in the semis against Quinnipiac, falling to the Bobcats for the second consecutive week.

Senior Claire Collins, sophomore Caitlin Weigel and freshman Delia Hellander led the Crimson attack with multiple tries throughout the day. Hellander notched both tries in the win over BU to help the Crimson win its group in pool play.

Harvard will return to action next Sunday, April 9 at the Brown 7s.
