Season Preview: Veteran Leadership, Depth Lead Women's Soccer into 2010 Campaign

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Harvard women's soccer
team, the two-time reigning Ivy League champion, heads into the
2010 season looking to earn the program's third straight berth to
the NCAA tournament.
Under fourth-year head coach Ray Leone, the Crimson returns 20
players from last year's roster, which went 6-1 in the Ivy League
en route to the team's second consecutive Ancient Eight
crown. Harvard went 9-7-1 overall and advanced to the NCAA
tournament for the second straight fall.
Harvard, which added five freshmen to the fold for the 2010
season, will play 17 games this fall, including seven at
home. The Crimson begins the regular season by hosting Long
Island Sept. 3. Harvard will also host Boston University
Sept. 16, Rhode Island Sept. 17, Yale Oct. 2, Cornell Oct. 9,
Quinnipiac Oct. 26 and Columbia Nov. 6.
